THE WALL OF AWESOME

The Wall of Awesome was an accidental project, starting from a small box of crayons, some paper, and possibly copious amounts of alcohol. From one corner of the kitchen wall, the collection slowly spread out and took over almost two walls. The project took shape in February 2012, and was in progress till July 2012 (when I left Singapore).

It was a source of much enjoyment and therapy, especially in the last frantic months of finishing my PhD thesis. It also rekindled my passion for drawing and doodling, something that I had lost since leaving high school.

There were approximately 68 pieces in the collection. I say "approximately" because I didn't bother to count when we dismantled it. As such, I had to count them from the video at the bottom.

The crayonings were done mostly by Eva and I (at times we'd collaborate on the same canvas). We also have many pieces contributed by various visitors to my place. I still have most of the original works filed up at my parents' place. Maybe someday I'll provide the scans.
